Every Lineage II server has bugs, and Darion is no exception: it is thousands of skills, items and quests talking to each other. What we get to choose is what happens after someone finds one. Report it and you get paid; use it quietly and you lose the account. The rest of this page is just the detail.

Severity and reward

Severity Examples Reward
Cosmetic Wrong text, an NPC out of place, a swapped icon, a window that opens crooked 2 Darion Coin
Does not work A quest that will not close, a skill with no effect, a teleport that goes nowhere, an event that pays nothing 5 Darion Coin
Gives an edge Farming faster than it should, damage out of all proportion, walking through a wall, a boss that does not react 15 Darion Coin
Serious Duplicating an item or adena, getting into another player's account, bringing the server down, a shop delivering without charging 50 Darion Coin

Severity is the team's call, and the first report of each bug is the one that gets paid — the ones after it get a thank you and a closed ticket. Payment goes out when the bug is confirmed, not when it is fixed: a big fix takes time, and your Darion Coin does not wait for it. A report the team cannot reproduce pays nothing, but it costs nothing either.

How to report

  1. Open a ticket on Support, with your game account, or reach the team on Discord.
  2. Say what you expected and what happened, in that order.
  3. Say where: the name of the NPC, the zone, the quest or the skill.
  4. Tell us how to repeat it, step by step. That is what turns a report into a fix.
  5. Attach a screenshot or a video if you have one. Ten seconds of video beat three paragraphs.

A ticket is the safest route: it is recorded with a date and time, and it is how the team answers you. A serious bug, the kind that hits the economy, can come straight through Discord so the team can act the same day.

Your name stays out of it

A report is confidential. Nobody is told who reported it, and that matters most when the bug is being used by someone in your own clan or by the people you play with: nobody will come asking, because nobody will know. If you prefer, ask in the ticket to be paid on another character of yours.

Using the bug instead of reporting it

Every reported bug is investigated — including whoever had been using it before anyone reported it. The server log shows who did what and when, so this is not a bluff. The penalty follows the size of the damage:

  • Used it without realising, noticed and reported it: the team removes what came in wrong and that is the end of it.
  • Used it on purpose for an advantage: what was gained goes back and the account is suspended.
  • Touched the economy, duplicating an item, adena or coin: permanent ban, of the account and of the accounts tied to it.
  • Passed the bug to the clan and the clan used it: each one answers for what they used, including whoever only passed it on.

Selling or trading bug information is treated as using the bug itself.

What happens after your report

  1. The team reads the ticket and tries to reproduce the bug from scratch.
  2. Reproduced, it is classified by severity and joins the fix queue — serious first.
  3. The reward lands on your account with that confirmation, and the ticket tells you.
  4. If it could not be reproduced, the team answers asking for the detail that was missing, before closing.

A fix that changes the game for everyone is announced in the news and on Discord, saying what changed.

What is not a bug

These are worth a ticket too, but they are not part of the policy:

  • Lag, high ping and dropped connections. Send it, the team will look, but it is almost always the network route.
  • A rate, a price or a difficulty you think is wrong. That is a suggestion, and suggestions go to Discord.
  • Behaviour that is like this on retail High Five, even when it looks wrong.
  • Losing a PvP, a class advantage, a build that did not work the way you expected.
  • A bug already on the known list, or one someone else reported before you.

A server with no bugs does not exist. A server that fixes them fast does — and it depends on the people playing speaking up. Found something odd, say so. It is worth Darion Coin, and it is worth everyone's game.
